Jim Barry - Chairman
Originally from a business background in graphic arts and printing, Jim has had a varied career in sports administration, board membership and business management. After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Melbourne) Jim owned and ran a speciality printing business with over 150 staff from the mid-60s before retiring in 1992.
As an experienced sports administrator, he sat on the board of the Australian Olympic Committee from 1993 to 2005 and on the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) board from 1984 to 1996.
Jim has also served in the Australian Defence Force as a Reservist, enlisting in Artillery in 1951 and retiring as Commander of the Third Division in 1989 with the rank of Major General.
He is a past National President of the Defence Reserves Association as well as currently serving on the boards of a number of not-for-profit associations.
